Our developmental process provides essential steps to ensure clear communication and goals through every stage of a project.
We feel it is important to recognise each phase and the role each party contributes in achieving a successful result.
Doug Chapman Design begins each project working closely with our clients to determine the scope and purpose of a given project as well as expected goals.
We devise a plan of action and after budget estimates, timelines and objectives are generated and approved, the project moves to the concept development phase.
This phase is the cornerstone of every project. Creative direction is developed at this stage and after a concept has been chosen and approved, the design moves to the design and layout stage.
After final layout and design has been approved, the design moves into the production stage. If the project is a full colour print document, digital proofs followed by colour proofs from separated film are generated for client approval.

Web designs are created, coded and uploaded for testing and approval. The project then proceeds to the final post production stage.
If a job is printed a press check is conducted if required, leading to the final printed product.
Web sites are tested, approved and uploaded to the appropriate server for final launch.
